Saint Alphonsus Mary de Liguori (born Sept 27 1696) is the Founder of the Congregation of the Holy Redemeer (commonly known as the Redemptorist).
Our devotion at the Novena Church to Mother Mary unites us with St Alphonsus' deep love for her. His life was filled with her constant presence. He died on 1 August 1787, at the sound of the Angelus, and with an image of Mary in his hands.
Saint Alphonsus Mary de Liguori is the patron Saint of Athritis. His feast day is 1st August.
