ADVENT GLASS VOTIVE CANDLES

DESCRIPTION

Advent is a period of preparation extending over the four Sundays before Christmas.  The word Advent derives from the Latin word meaning "coming". The coming of Jesus into the world.

For Catholics, the Advent candles follow the liturgical colors of three purple candles and one pink (rose). It symbolizes hope, love, joy (pink) and peace. Some may have a fifth white candle placed in the middle, called the Christ candle and is lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day to remind Christians of the light Jesus brings to the world.
