ADVENT SPIRAL CANDLES

DESCRIPTION

Advent is a period of preparation extending over the four Sundays before Christmas.  The word Advent derives from the Latin word meaning coming. The coming of Jesus into the world.

For Catholics, the Advent candles follow the liturgical colors of three purple candles and one pink (rose). It symbolizes hope, love, joy and peace. Some may have a fifth white candle, called the Christ candle,  and is lit on Christmas Day to remind Christians of the light Jesus brings to the world.
